Getting to the fun parts more.

To talk a bit about the money first because I always forget...to date we have spent $66,850 on our house. That includes most of the inside fixtures and appliances. We still are going to have the floors stained and then the final electrical work that will be bigger bills to add in. Most of the rest should not cost that much (I hope). I don't think that is bad at all for a 3200 square foot house!

We finally got around to picking out the paint colors for the walls. That took about a week to figure out. In some of the rooms we have the antique tin so we have to pick colors that will go with it. Then we have the barn wood and the grain bins. Then we add in the fact that most of the rooms are open to each other so they kind of have to match....let's just say it is hard to choose! There were a couple of colors that I am thinking are going to have to be retinted, because they are not quite looking the way I wanted but we will see after we get some on the walls for sure. We bought the paint at Lowe's. They were having a sale over Memorial Day weekend and we bought 3 five gallon buckets and 17 gallons of paint for $1200 BUT we are getting $260 back in rebates for that paint!! I have also bought a few more gallons that we mistints at $9 a gallon!

This tin will go in the upstairs North grain bin bathroom. You can't tell so well from the pictures but it is a light grey and the walls will be a light turquoise shade.

This tin will go in the back hallway from floor to ceiling. It is a light yellow/gold color.

The above tin is in the library and it was the brown and will be blue. The whole ceiling will be this color and the walls a lighter shade. Chris is not convinced that he likes it yet but I assure him that the color needs to be lighter because we are putting a lot of brown in this room.

The tin in the kitchen we decided to keep and just clear coat it.

More of the same wall...

This wall was the hardest to find a color to go with. The only thing we could come up with was a grey with a hint of purple in it to kind of help blend it in more. We have stainless appliances too so there will be a lot of grey in here!
